Class Folders

Student class folders are located on the Iridium server and are used by many instructors as means to collect homework (for example as a "drop box") or to share files.  If you are an instructor and would like to setup a a class folder instead of using MavSpace, contact our Help Desk at helpdesk@uta.edu.

 

Unlike the J: and K: drives, class folders are not mapped automatically.  If your computer is on the UTA domain or if you are connected to the network using VPN (off campus) or encrypted wireless (on campus) you can manually map the drive.  Alternatively, you could access your class folders using FTP software.

 

Depending on the access method you choose to use, the folder/server location is going to be \\iridium\classes\ or iridium.uta.edu > classes:
