Welcome to OIT
New E-mail System for Students!
UT Arlington has negotiated with Microsoft to host student e-mail, providing all UT Arlington students with a 5Gb mailbox size 125 times the previous allocation. Even better, students can keep the new e-mail address for life! MyMav has been updated with the new e-mail address and the campus e-mail system will be updated with new e-mail addresses in the near future. See www.uta.edu/email for more information.
New Network File Storage System for Students!
UT Arlington students are eligible to participate in Windows Live, a hosted service for UT Arlington student email users. This includes SkyDrive, 5Gb of network storage with private, shared, and public folders that you can control and manage yourself. Windows Live offers many other services as well. TechBytes Newsletter

The Office of Information Technology is
pleased to share the latest edition of the TechBytes campus
newsletter. We hope the campus community will find many articles of
value and interest. In this issue we look at how OIT and our campus
community partners are involved in projects such as: blogs,
teaching in SMART sympodium classrooms, the expansion of MavSpace for
departments, technology security information, support of research
and UT Arlington´s expanding presence in the UT System shared
services and regional data center initiatives. OIT invites you to
