OIT offers a variety of loan a tech services for a set cost of:
- $30.00 per hour with 2 weeks’ notice (min 2 hours)
- $50.00 per hour with less than 2 weeks’ notice

Loan-A-Tech Services
Loan-A-tech services are offered by the Office of Information Technology (OIT) to help UTA staff and students with technical issues for a set rate. Services offered are media, relocation, and IT support - guest Wi-Fi services.
Media Services
We can assist faculty or students with streaming public or private events to any on-campus department or organization.
Typical Process includes:
- Setting up the computer/laptop at the required location
- Connecting Projectors or LCD/LED
- Providing backup LCD/LED and laptops if requested
Relocation Services
Shifting your department from one place to anoother? We can provide our services in disassembling your computers and all other technology devices. Followed by setting up computers into the new desired location with the assurance that everything will work you.
Typical Process includes:
- Tagging the devices with the new employee location
- Unplugging and sorting devices
- Installing the devices in the new location
- Checking functionality
IT support - Guest Wi-Fi
We can assist your guests with accessing the internet while on campus. This service can be provided to several visitors, using an open wireless network system for their personal devices.
Typical Process includes:
- Connecting all guests to campus internet
- Providing support to guests throughout the event
