Project Overview
OIT is working in phases to centralize and streamline management of all UTA employee computing devices, including purchasing, device replacement, inventory tracking, security configuration, and surplus management under a four-year refresh cycle. Centralizing these operations should realize significant technology cost savings.
As the Information Resource Owners (IRO) (UTA Policies and Procedures), Department heads and Deans are accountable for the security and compliance of information resources and data under their purview. By adopting this process, IRO’s will have the opportunity to enforce the security requirements with a reduced operational burden on their staff.
