Research is core to the mission of the University, and OIT Research Support Services is dedicated to supporting the campus research community. The RSS team brings an understanding of research and data lifecycles as they apply to the information technology resources that support UTA's research enterprise. OIT Research Support provides services along four main pillars:
Research IT Solution Consulting: helping researchers plan for, select, acquire, onboard, maintain, and offboard information technology resources dedicated to research.
Advanced Configuration Support: assisting with configuration of IT resources for researchers and research teams, such as server hardware deployed at lab scale, computing dedicated to instrumentation, high performance computing, and clustering.
Proposals, Plans and Agreements Review: assessing feasibility and effort associated with the IT components of research proposals, data management plans, and data agreements, including restricted data.
Common Resource Support: providing common-good IT resources and support for the campus research community, such as websites for researchers and the UTA HPC.
