Frequently Asked Questions
1. When will the work occur?
You will be notified generally 3 weeks in advance and the work will occur during the evening and overnight hours.
2. Who do we contact with any questions?
Please email netupgrade for any questions you may have.
3.Will my devices work the next day?
Devices that are not static or specialized should have no issues connecting to the new network. Printers, cameras and specialized lab equipment with a given IP address need to be updated with a new address. Please reach out to your DSA on this beforehand to discuss or email the netupgrade box and OIT will reach out to you.
4. Will there be support onsite after the refresh?
Yes! OIT will have staff available each morning onsite after the work occurs. Please use normal ticketing process and it will route directly to resource onsite. They will also be walking around the building so please feel free to reach out to them.
5. What can we do to prepare for upgrade?
Please reach out to your DSA or imbedded IT resource. The more OIT knows about special devices and cases, the easier the refresh will go.
