What is TCP?

  • TCP is a workforce management solution for time collection, absence and PTO management, and workforce scheduling, all in one application.

What is the difference between TCP and TimeClock Plus?

  • TimeClock Plus has recently undergone a rebrand and is now known as TCP. We are looking forward to our continued partnership with TCP to implement an efficient timekeeping platform for UTA faculty, staff, and student workers.

What is the goal of TCP?

  • TCP will standardize and enhance employee timekeeping and absence management processes.
  • The system will be implemented to facilitate consistency in reporting hours worked and hours absent for various employee types (Faculty, Administrative, and Professional, Classified Exempt, and Classified Non-Exempt).
  • The application will deliver accurate and timely notifications for both supervisors (or designated proxies) and payroll departments in order to streamline the time and labor functions.

Managers have the same level of access as Timekeepers, but only Managers can approve time:

  • Approve pay period by an identified cut-off date
  • Approve comp time payout (if appropriate and with identified cost center)

  • All non-exempt employees will be required to clock in/out for a lunch break; lunch breaks continue to be unpaid.
  • Employees do not need to clock out/in for 15-minute rest breaks.

Will all vacation/sick requests and other absence requests be managed through TCP?

  • Yes. The employees will have the ability to make a time-off request as well as check on the current status of previous requests.
  • As soon as the request is processed by the supervisor/manager, the employee receives a notification.

Will my vacation/sick and other accrual banks be in TCP at Go-Live?

  • Yes, all accrual banks and hours associated with each one will be part of data migration.

We are using paper forms to register our clock-in/clock-out time at present. Will we have to use TCP instead?

  • Paper forms will no longer be used.

Can we continue using the paper forms and have it entered in UT Share once a week/month by an administrative assistant?

  • UTShare will not be used for time entry or correction.
