TIMEKEEPING HUMAN RESOURCES AND PAYROLL POLICIES AND PROCEDUREs

These are the key UTA policies that impact time reporting in TCP:

Vacation Leave (HR-LA-PO-04)
Benefits eligible staff with a job assignment of 4.5 months or more may utilize vacation leave after six continuous months of service.

Sick Leave (HR-LA-PO-03)
Benefits eligible faculty and staff with a job assignment of 4.5 months or more may utilize sick leave beginning with the first month of employment.

FMLA (HR-LA-PR4)
All UTA employees who have a serious health condition and meet federal guidelines are eligible.

Parental Leave (HR-LA-PR9)
Faculty and staff employees with a job assignment of 4.5 months or more who not eligible for FMLA for either birth of a natural child or adoption/foster care placement of a child under three (3) years of age are eligible to apply.

Military Leave of Absence (HR-LA-PR5)
UTA provides various types of military leave for employees called to uniformed military service.

Overtime (HR-E-PR28)
All non-exempt staff who physically work over 40 hours during a workweek are eligible for overtime pay or overtime state compensatory time according to federal and state law.

Time Reports Policy (BF-P-PR2)
All non-exempt staff are required to clock in and out for both work and lunch breaks utilizing a physical timeclock on campus, the timeclock app on their cell phone, or the desktop computer app.

Sick Leave Pool (HR-LA-PR8)
Benefits-eligible faculty and staff with a job assignment of 4.5 months or more who experience a catastrophic illness or injury and have exhausted all leave time are eligible to apply for additional sick leave to cover time out of work.
