Connection with prospective students

The University of Texas at Arlington is implementing Slate, a Constituent Relationship Management (CRM) system, to improve the University’s communication strategy to recruit and retain students. UTA's website inquiry forms have been integrated to Slate forms, allowing UTA to deliver more personalized communications, improve data gathering on correspondence with prospective students, and streamline recruitment communications across the Division of Enrollment Management and the academic colleges.

UTA has delivered over 2.75 million recruitment emails to high school and transfer students this academic year. The emails were targeted to the following campaigns:

  • Inquiry - 772,973 emails
  • Prospects - 1,471,714 emails
  • Applicants - 182,242 emails
  • Admits - 202,544 emails
  • Confirms - 124,930 emails
  • Total - 2,754,403 emails

Maventure Camp - new attendee record

Additionally, Enrollment Management utilizes Slate for recruitment event planning, communication, invitation, and registration. In partnership with Student Affairs, the registration for Maventure Camp, UTA's on-campus introduction to confirmed incoming first-time and transfer students, was transitioned into Slate - resulting in increased registration numbers as compared to previous years. Multiple camps will take place over several dates in July and August 2022. Registration opened on April 4, 2022, with 300 registrants and paid guaranteed spots accounted for as of May 11, 2022. The current number of attendees is a new record for Maventure Camp and will grow as more students enroll at New Maverick Orientation and, subsequently, Maventure Camp.
