The University of Texas at Arlington is excited to unveil Microsoft Teams Calling with new phones for conference rooms, common areas, and desks. 

These innovative devices help increase collaboration and productivity through seamless integration with Microsoft Teams software.

  • Work from any location and never miss a call. Your phone is always accessible using the Teams application on your computer or cell phone.
  • Integration with the Teams application provides feature-rich capabilities to extend flexibility and productivity. Traditional calling systems have limited functionality and do not often integrate with other software.
  • Enhanced 911 provides your location to emergency responders, allowing them to respond swiftly.
  • This cloud-based solution reduces costs, replaces aging infrastructure, and improves operational effectiveness.

  • It is Microsoft Teams based.

What new features are included with MS Teams Calling?

  • Voicemail to email
  • Voicemail transcription
  • Take calls on other devices
  • See calendars on all devices
  • Easily join meetings

What is the monthly cost for this new service?

  • The cost will remain the same.

Will I need to record a new greeting and will my voicemail messages transfer over?

  • You will have to record a new greeting and current voicemail messages will not transfer to the new system.

Will there be training on how to use the new phones?

  • Training will be available online and scheduled with every new site deployment.
