what you should know about teams phones before returning to campus
- You can continue to make or receive calls using Microsoft Teams on your desktop, laptop, computer, or mobile device whether you are off or on campus.
- If your campus telephone line was converted to Teams, don't use your Nortel desk phone to make or receive calls. If you have not already received one, you can order a new headset or a desk phone for use with Microsoft Teams.
- Faculty and staff who have not moved their office number to Microsoft Teams can continue to use their old Nortel desk phone when they return to campus, until their telephone line is moved to Microsoft Teams.
- Faculty and staff who converted their campus telephone line to Microsoft Teams will need to schedule an appointment through Microsoft Bookings to request a new headset or desktop phone.
- An OIT technician will deliver and configure your device. Please schedule your appointment at least one week prior to returning to campus.
- You or a designee need to be present in your office when OIT delivers your phone or headset.
- Appointments are arranged to maintain social distancing protocols and the availability of our staff. If an appointment is unavailable, please select another date.
