Program Details

The EIR Accessibility Program is a comprehensive initiative to remediate digital resources and digital communications, provide positive user experiences, and position UTA as a leader in digital accessibility and equal access. The program will involve collaboration between various departments and focus on developing and rolling out an Accessibility Resource Toolkit, standard training, and support structures to ensure compliance with relevant laws and guidelines.

Reason UTA is making these changes

UTA is making these changes to better serve everyone, build an accessibility culture, comply with federal and state requirements, and align with UTA's 2030 strategic plan.

The areas that are impacted

The program will cover the assessment, remediation, and ongoing monitoring of digital accessibility across UTA's digital resources, including course content, web pages, mobile applications, and digital communications such as electronic documents, emails, videos, and social media posts.

The services or applications that will be implemented or replaced

The program will involve the remediation of all public websites, Canvas courses, mobile applications, and digital communications.
