Project Overview

The University of Texas at Arlington is migrating to OneDrive and SharePoint, secure cloud-based storage platforms fully integrated with all Office 365 applications including Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint and Teams.

OneDrive enables users to collaborate on a single file, eliminating multiple drafts and troublesome version conflicts. Files synced to the cloud and can be accessed from any device including computers, tablets, and smartphones.

SharePoint Online offers a centralized location with detailed document management that organizes content, processes, and business data for departments, groups, and committees.

This project directly aligns to the University’s strategic goal of reimagining institutional infrastructure by providing a cost-effective storage solution and a secure, stable collaborative document repository.

These powerful applications unite faculty, staff, and students across campus, providing an increased opportunity for students to become familiar with software commonly used in today’s workforce, in keeping with the strategic goal to educate beyond the classroom and ensure student success.
