Project Overview
This project will transition all Apple device management at the University of Texas at Arlington from Jamf to Microsoft Intune. UTA will not renew its Jamf license in FY2026 due to cost considerations, requiring all Apple workloads to be migrated prior to the license expiration to ensure continued endpoint management.
Microsoft Intune provides equivalent device management capabilities and is already included under UTA’s existing licensing agreement. Migrating to Microsoft Intune allows the University to reduce licensing costs, consolidate endpoint management platforms, and maintain secure and compliant management of Apple devices. This project supports UTA’s operational needs by ensuring Apple devices continue to be managed in alignment with institutional security and endpoint management standards.
