eduroam Network
The eduroam SSID will replace the existing UTA WiFi SSID, providing a secure, standardized connection experience for UTA students, faculty and staff using personal or non-managed devices. Users will authenticate using their full UTA email address and account password, the same credentials used for other UTA systems.
Eduroam is a globally recognized network access service used by universities and research institutions worldwide. Through this service, UTA community members can use their UTA credentials to connect to eduroam at any participating institution. Likewise, visitors from other eduroam-enabled institutions can connect to eduroam at UTA using their home institution credentials, supporting academic collaboration and mobility.
The eduroam SSID is intended for students, faculty and staff connecting personal devices that are not managed through Intune. Intune-managed devices should connect to the UTA Employee SSID where enhanced security controls and device compliance requirements are enforced.
